This weekend sees both the celebration of motherhood (Mothering Sunday) and the Irish Saint (St Patrick). What a weekend it will be for the Irish mothers amongst us! Not only an excuse to partake of the Liffey water and feast to our hearts content, but also a good reason to let your partner and kids take the strain, delivering breakfast in bed complete with Alka Seltzer on the side for those with a hangover to nurse.
As a group of women and mothers in PR (6 kids between us), we had thought to post a traditional gift guide piece. Don’t get us wrong, we are all very into ‘consumer goods’ but sometimes the simple things in life really are the best and most memorable.

Sticky Fingerprints!
Take note children and dads, what us mother’s really want this Sunday apart from a handmade card with the illegible scrawling of a toddler and sticky fingerprints, is a day off from motherhood – a lay in, leisurely breakfast, coffee with friends – a chance to remember who we were before the small people came along.
Now really that’s far less to ask for than a spa day but so much better received…or is that just us? Hopefully this weekend I will mostly be wearing green and a comedy hat whilst relaxing at home, in charge of the TV remote whilst being waited on hand and foot!
Have a “craic-ing” weekend!
